Focus on Your Best Assets:
Whatever you wear, your wardrobe will only work for you if you really know your body shape. Different dress shapes will suit different body types – there is no one design fits all unfortunately! So, take a good long look at your body and decide which bit you want to emphasise. If like us you keep an eye on magazines, blogs, Pinterest and fashion websites, then you can keep up to date on what the current styles, textures, prints and trends are – and you will frequently find that one or more of our dresses or accessories fits into that category. If you are new to Vintage Style and not sure how you feel about it, it can often make it easier for you to get into it, knowing that you are still staying in fashion but just in a more unique way.
Mix It Up
Although a top to toe vintage look can be amazing, sometimes it can feel a bit much for everyday. Our favourite thing to do is to mix it up – pair your vintage style purchase with something already in your wardrobe – a white shirt, a denim jacket, a great belt – all these things will keep your look fresh and up-to-date. Never underestimate the difference a fab accessory can make to an outfit! Change the look of a dress by adding a different belt, add some drama by piling on some jewellery, or even just tie a vintage style scarf to your handbag. Little changes like this can really add a dramatic touch to your outfit.
